About

Aer Lingus is the national flag carrier airline of Ireland who's founded in 1936 and operates from its base at Dublin Airport. The Irish carrier flies to over 100 destinations including Aberdeen, Agadir, Alicante, Athens, Baltimore, Belfast, Berlin, Birmingham, Chicago, Copenhagen, Cork, Derry, Dusseldorf, Faro, Edinburgh, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, Munich, New York, Stuttgart, Toronto and many others. The carrier serves over 12 million passengers per year.

In 2015, the International Airlines Group (IAG) bought the Aer Lingus shares from the Irish Government and Ryanair to complete the IAG's takeover. The airline was previously a member of the oneworld alliance, but it has no plans to re-enter the alliance despite the majority of IAG airlines being a member of oneworld.

The airline has codeshare agreements with Air Canada, British Airways, Etihad Airways, JetBlue Airways, KLM and United Airlines.
