Link Airways is an Australian airline that offers scheduled passengers flights. The airline's main base is at Brisbane Airport (BNE), but it has two other secondary hub airports, Sydney Airport (SYD) and Melbourne Airport (MEL). It flies to more than 10 destinations within Australia, throughout New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

Link Airways is dedicated to providing a safe and reliable way to fly around Australia, with the goal of giving each passenger a personalised and caring service. The airline is one of the leading and best-connected carriers in New South Wales, connecting many of its destinations with Australia's three biggest cities — Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Is Link Airways the same as Fly Corporate?

The airline was founded in 2016 under the name and brand Fly Corporate, but rebranded as Link Airways in 2020. Although the airline itself only launched in 2016, Link Airways is a subsidiary of an aviation company named Corporate Air. Corporate Air has existed since 1972 and brings more than 45 years of aviation experience to Link Airways and its airline service.

Baggage Policy

Link Airways has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are given a free carry-on baggage allowance of 7 kg per person (adult and children). This baggage must fit within the dimensions of 48 cm (18.9") x 34 cm (13.3") x 23 cm (9"). Infants are given the same carry-on baggage weight allowance (7 kg) but are allowed to bring items such as a stroller or bassinet and car seat that exceed the size dimension.

Checked Baggage

Passengers are given a free checked baggage allowance of 15 kg (adult and children). Passengers that have connected or are connecting to an international flight are given a larger baggage allowance of 30 kg. However, passengers must bring proof of their connecting flight in order to be given the extra free allowance.

Infants are not given a free checked baggage allowance.

Cabin Classes

The airline flies with an all Economy Class cabin. The Economy experience is slightly different depending on the route flown. Some flights are operated with much smaller planes and cabins than others but each flight offers a safe and relaxed way to travel around Australia, with a friendly crew onboard to assist passengers.

Seats

Seats on flights operated by the Saab 340B are set out in a 2 x 1 formation.

Seats on flights operated by the Metro 23 are set out in a 1 x 1 formation.

Please note: due to the short flight-times and limited space, flights operated by the Metro 23 aircraft don't have toilet facilities.

Check-In

Passengers flying with Link Airways can either check in at the airport or alternatively, online before departure.

Online Check-in

Passengers can check-in online through the Link Airways online check-in page. Online check-in is available from 24 hours up until 30 minutes before scheduled flight departure time. Passengers will need their booking details in order to check-in.

Even if passengers check-in online, they should arrive at the airport in good time as to not miss the boarding deadline for their flight. This is particularly important if they're travelling with checked baggage.

Please note: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, passengers are required to have a temperature test at check-in. Therefore, online check-in is currently unavailable.

Airport Check-in

Passengers can also check-in at the airport. This can be completed by presenting the relevant travel documents at the airline check-in desk at the airport of departure. Airport check-in opens 90 minutes before scheduled flight departure time on domestic flights and 120 minutes before scheduled flight departure time on regional flights.

Please note: passengers must check-in at the airport and are unable to use online check-in if they're travelling as an unaccompanied minor, with an infant or need special assistance.

Food & Drink

Passengers are given a complimentary bottle of water and snack once in-flight. The snack on offer changes from flight to flight but is usually savoury.

Due to the short flight times, there is no full meal service or onboard menu. However, passengers are welcome to bring their own food and drink on the flight, as long as it doesn't breach airport security rules.

In-Flight Entertainment

Passengers can enjoy reading up on the travel locations across Australia and New Zealand.

There's no WIFI available on any of this airline's flights.
