About Lynx Air
Lynx Air was an airline based in the Canadian city of Calgary, Alberta. Although it was a rebrand of, Enerjet. Enerjet began operations in 2008 as it saw a gap in the market which was being underserved by both Air Canada and Westjet. The airline originally operated as a charter airline aiding with the transportation of oil workers across Alberta as well as a charter for tour and leisure operators. It was announced in November 2021 that the airline was to rebrand the carrier and shift its business model. The airline decided to adopt the Lynx Air branding and become an ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) aimed at travellers who don't frequently fly and who tend to use US airlines. Lynx Air retired the aircraft previously operated by Enerjet and took over delivery of the Boeing 737 Max aircraft. The airline began operating services in the first half of 2022 in a range of Canadian cities and bases its operations at Calgary International Airport.
Baggage Policy
Lynx Air had different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Lynx Air allowed all passengers to bring 1 item of cabin baggage with them. This must be a personal item, such as a briefcase, handbag or small backpack. It has to meet the airline's size guide of 15cm x 33cm x 43cm (6” x 13” x 17”) and it couldn't be capped in weight.
You were able to additionally purchase more cabin baggage. When booking with the airline you could select their additional carry-on bag, which included cabin cases and duffel bags. This was capped at 10kg and should not exceed 23cm x 40cm x 55cm (9” x 15.75” x 21.5”).
Checked Baggage
The airline didn't offer checked luggage as standard with any ticket type. This meant that if you wanted to bring a suitcase to be carried in the aircraft cargo hold then you would need to purchase this additionally. These cases had to be smaller than a combined dimension of 158cm (62”) and weigh 23kg or less.
Cabin Classes
The airline operated as a single-class airline, offering an economy-only product. Onboard the airline's aircraft, a total of 189 seats were installed, featuring Boeing's Sky Interior lighting to create a comfortable environment. Lynx Air also offered 'à la carte pricing' where you could pay for additional extras and benefits if required, including baggage, priority boarding and extra legroom seats.
In-flight Entertainment & WIFI
Due to Lynx air being a low-cost airline, they did not offer any wifi or entertainment screens on board.
Food & Drink
The airline offered 'à la carte pricing', allowing customers to purchase services they want. The same principles were offered for the airline's inflight meal service. Drinks and snacks came at an additional cost from a buy-on-board bar.

Lynx Air allowed passengers to check in online and at the airport.
Online Check-in
Lynx Air offered online check-in facilities to use.
You then were able to drop your luggage at one of the airline's check-in desks at the airport.
Airport Check-in
You alternatively could have chosen to check-in at the airport upon arrival, and head to one of the Lynx Air branded desks. Lynx Air closed check-in 45 minutes before departure and any passenger who arrived at the gate 10 minutes before departure would be denied boarding.

Lynx Air began operations in April 2022 to domestic Canadian cities initially. The airline welcomed up to 46 B737 MAX 8 aircraft. Upon growing their fleet Lynx Air offered a range of further destinations within the US and Canada.

Lynx Air launches reservations
From January 2022 the airline launched its reservations system before launching services in April. The airline also launched a competition to win free flights to celebrate the launch of its 5 Canadian destinations.
Lynx Air to begin operations in April 2022
Lynx Air began operating services to Calgary and Vancouver on 7th April 2022. Toronto began 11th of April with Kelowna and Winnipeg joining on the 15th and 19th of April.
Enerjet Rebrands to Lynx Air
In November 2021 Canadian airline Enerjet rebranded into Lynx Air and began ULC services across Canada and the US.
Lynx Air ceased operations
In Febuary 2024 Lynx Air unfortunately, ceased operations meaning they no longer fly.
