Pix is a rapid payment and transfer platform developed and overseen by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), the monetary authority of Brazil. It facilitates swift transactions and money transfers.
Pix allows instant payment between individuals. To initiate an instant transfer or payment, the sender must possess the recipient's Pix alias or key. Pix payments or transfers do not have a minimum limit. However, participating institutions have the authority to set maximum limits on the amount that users can pay or transfer via Pix.
What happens if I don't have enough funds in the PIX to pay for my flight?
If the balance in your PIX account or the linked debit card account does not have enough funds to cover the cost of the flights, we will be unable to confirm your flight reservation and process the payment using PIX.
To secure you're booking, either top up the balance on your PIX account or use an alternative payment method.
How can I make a PIX?
To initiate a payment using Pix, you have several options:
- Scan a QR Code: Utilise your smartphone's camera within your financial or payment institution's application to scan a QR Code specifically designed for Pix payments.
- Pix Copy and Paste: If you are unable to scan the QR Code with your phone's camera, you can select the "Pix Copy and Paste" option. This allows you to manually enter the code associated with the QR Code. This option is also available for internet banking.
- Provide a Pix Key: Your financial or payment institution's application on your smartphone may offer an option to enter a Pix Key, which can be a CPF/CNPJ (TIN) number, an email address, a phone number, or a randomly generated key. This method can also be used in internet banking.
- Utilise the payment transaction initiation service: Your financial or payment institution may provide a specific service for initiating Pix payments.
These options offer flexibility and convenience when making payments through the Pix system.
What happens if I provide the incorrect information in a pix?
In the event of an error, while attempting to make a Pix transaction, you will receive a notification specifying the reason for the transaction failure. Once the underlying issue is resolved, you will have the opportunity to retry the transaction.

The key serves as an alias that uniquely identifies your account, acting as the address for your Pix transactions. There are four types of Pix keys available:
