About Southeast Airlines:

Southeast Airlines was an airline that operated scheduled flights within the U.S. and Mexico. The airline carrier operated out of its hub at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport (YNG) in Vienna Township, Trumbull County, US. The airline was founded in 1993 as Sun Jet International and it started as a low-fare public charter airline in Largo, Florida. The airline unexpectedly stopped operating in November 2004. The airline was once featured on a reality TV show called 'The Simple Life'. The airline's aircraft featured the 'Sun King' logo which was previously used by the original National Airlines which was placed on the aircraft tails.

Southeast Airlines operated 16 regularly scheduled flights domestically within the US and internationally in Mexico.

Overall, the airline had a fleet of 10 McDonnell Douglas aircraft that could in total carry 1,500 passengers at one time.

Baggage Policy

Southeast Airlines had a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage policy.

Carry-on Baggage

The airline permitted its passengers to take 18kg of baggage per person. Any additional baggage would be charged at the current excess baggage rate. The airline didn't allow passengers to take hazardous materials such as flammables, compressed gases, batteries, and toxic substances.

Checked Baggage

Each passenger could bring onboard 1 personal item (briefcase, laptop, purse). All baggage must be weighed.

Cabin Classes

Southeast Airlines only offered 1 cabin class - Economy class.

Economy Class

The airline mostly had short flights and there was only one cabin class that was offered on the aircraft - Basic Economy class. The airline gave its passengers amenities including one free checked piece of baggage, snacks, drinks and the option of choosing your seat.

Seats

Seats were positioned in a 2 x 3 formation depending on the aircraft, ensuring that each passenger would sit by a window, aisle, or between two passengers.

Check-In

Passengers had to check in at the airport since Southeast Airlines didn't offer an online check-in service.

Online Check-in

Check-in Online wasn't required before a flight with the airline.

Airport Check-in

The airline advised passengers to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time. The airline crew from there would be ready to help in the check-in and boarding process.
