LATAM Ecuador (formerly known as LAN Ecuador) is a subsidiary of LATAM Airlines, based in Guayaquil, in Ecuador. Other subsidiaries of LATAM Airlines include LATAM Peru and LATAM Argentina. The airline was established in July 2002 and began operating on 28th April 2003. In 2008, LATAM Airlines Ecuador received approval to begin domestic operations and these were launched in March 2009 with an Airbus A318 aircraft.
LATAM Ecuador have codeshare agreements with American Airlines and Iberia.
Baggage Policy
LATM Airlines Ecuador has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
On board a LATAM Airlines Ecuador flight, the maximum weight for carry-on baggage is 8 kilos (17 lb) in Economy and 16 (35 lb) kilos in Premium Economy or Premium Business.
Flying Economy on a route with it’s origin and/or destination in Brazil, the maximum weight is 10 kilos.
The maximum dimensions are 21 in (55 cm) x 13 in (35 cm) x 9 in (25 cm) (height, width and depth), including the pockets, wheels and handle. Carry-on baggage must not exceed the size and weight permitted, otherwise it should be sent as checked baggage, which is subject to fees if it exceeds the permitted baggage allowance.
In addition, passengers on a LATAM Airlines Ecuador flight are permitted one small personal item. This can be items such as a laptop bag or baby bag, and must fit the dimensions of 35cm x 20cm x 45cm.
Checked Baggage

What are Business Class Seats Like?
LATAM's Business Class seats are fully reclinable and will transform into fully-flat beds. Each seat has touch control which can be used to adjust the position of the head, back and foot of the seat.
Business Class seats are fitted with granite cocktail tables and a personal workspace.
The Business Class cabin is set out in a 1 x 2 x 1 formation, so that each passenger has direct access to the aisle.
Seats are 23-inches wide and, when in a horizontal position, 76 inches in length.
Each seat has a personal shutter, offering ultimate privacy.
